Chicagoland: Patterns

All of these photos come from Chicago's Art Institute Museum, a great collection. I was drawn to the patterns of course (see www.roseheineman.tumblr.com). So it seems there was an architect named Louis Sullivan that created some magnificent feats of embellishment that were sadly destroyed. But some remnants have been preserved (first two pictures). The other three photos are also patterns or pattern-like including a Georgia O'Keeffe painting.
